As we reach the halfway point of the series, viewers are desperate to learn where their favourite scenes are filmed. Don’t panic, we are here to tell all with three Anantara properties that you can stay at in Thailand. Plus, which scenes you might recognise from each resort…

ANANTARA BOPHUT KOH SAMUI RESORT

White Lotus

Our first resort is set along the shores of Bophut Beach, with Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort boasting a reputation as one of the most iconic resorts on the island. The site is built upon a past coconut plantation, now redesigned by architect Bill Bensley with serene lotus ponds and a soothing spa garden in keeping with the Southern Thai heritage injected throughout the show.

Multiple locations within the property are featured as The White Lotus Thailand, you might recognise the Thai-style lobby, security station, tree-lined resort entrance, employee car park and the glittering jewellery store.

ANANTARA LAWANA KOH SAMUI RESORT

Next we venture to Chaweng, where Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort resides on a peaceful stretch of private beach. The perfect blend of modern luxury and Samui’s cultural history, the design of the resort feels apt to reflect the satirical take on wealth explored throughout the show.

Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort is home to one of the most iconic filming locations in the series, the resort’s Singing Bird Lounge. This treehouse-style bar is nested within the branches of a 120-year-old tree, used as the prime spot for the bar scenes complemented by panoramic views of the glistening Pacific ocean.

ANANTARA MAI KHAO PHUKET VILLAS

Renowned for its seclusion and luxury, Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas feels like the perfect spot for the wellness sanctuary and spa shot throughout the series. The resort also lends one of it’s 183 villas and suites to the main character Belinda for her hotel room. This idyllic backdrop suits the juxtaposition The White Lotus loves to play with between otherworldly escapes and arresting real-life problems.

From the thrilling shores of Hawaii to the cultural character of Sicily, The White Lotus’ world tour is opening eyes to gems around the globe. Let us know if you recognise any other scenes from these world-renowned Anantara resorts and where would you love to see the series go next?
