The Queen of Strictly, Oti Mabuse, will headline a new English tour, taking in 9 cities in June 2025. Viva Carnival promises to be a fabulous fiesta of dance so get ready to groove with Oti and her fabulous ensemble in a city near you.
Oti Mabuse is a Latin American dance champion from South Africa who is the only professional dancer to have won Strictly Come Dancing in successive years, in 2019 (with Kelvin Fletcher) and 2020 (with Bill Bailey), having also reached the series final in 2016 (with Danny Mac), finishing as runners-up. She has made a successful career as a TV presenter and talent show judge having appeared as the Dance Captain on The Greatest Dancer, and a panelist on The Masked Dancer. She is also a judge on Dancing on Ice.
Her previous theatrical show, I Am Here (in 2022) was critically acclaimed and she has also choreographed The Cher Show and the Watermill’s production of Barnum.
Speaking at the launch of the tour, Oti said, “I’m so excited to bring Viva Carnival to the stage! Performing on stage is something I feel so passionately about and have missed so much. Dance has the power to bring people together and I can’t wait to party with everyone.”
The brand-new show will celebrate the world’s most electrifying carnivals, embracing the Sambas of Brazil and the Tangos of Argentina; the dance scene at England’s own Glastonbury Festival and the swing of the Jazz Fest in New Orleans. Anyone who has seen her on Strictly Come Dancing will understand that Oti knows how to party! So, mark the dates in your new diary for June 2025, and get prepared to let your hair down, let loose, and let’s go… on an unforgettable dance journey.
